General Question

What services do PSD4HTML provide?

We take your designs, and turn them in to full standards compliant HTML5/CSS3 mark-ups. This is often referred to as "PSD to HTML". However, we accept many more common design formats as well. We specialise in HTML5/CSS3, JS, PHP and WordPress themes. We can also create email templates, and themes/layouts for other CMS and e-commerce platforms.

What file formats do you accept designs in?

We can work with design files in PSD, PNG, INDD and AI formats. We can also work from sketches. If you would like to send is a different file format, please contact us so that we can come up with a solution.

Can you give me a project quote?

Yes, and this is very simple to action. You can either complete our online quote form on this website, or you can email us at hello@psd4html.com giving us an overview of your requirements, and details of your designs. We will then get back to you within 4 hours with a full quote.

What is your turnaround time on new projects?

Our standard PSD to HTML5 service can be completed within a single working day, as long as no edits or revisions are needed. If you need more a more advanced conversion, such as creating a WordPress theme, implementing JavaScript add-ons for example, then the turnaround time will be longer.

Do you hand-code every conversion?

Yes, we hand-code everything from the ground up. All code is developed from scratch by our experienced in-house development team. We don’t use automated code builders, and we don’t use pre-made prototypes. Everything is coded for your conversion from the start.

Technical questions

Are we free to choose any font we want?

Of course. We work with many font libraries such as Adobe, @font-face, TypeKit and Google Web Fonts. Choose any font you like, and how you would like, and let us know which font library it comes from. We will do the rest.

What browsers are your mark-up compatible with?

Every mark-up we produce is compatible with the latest version of all major web browsers. This includes Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer 9+, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari 4+, Firefox 4+ and Opera. If you need a mark-up to be compatible with an older browser version, please let us know.

Do you use HMTL tables or DIVs?

Modern HTML/CSS3 coding standards call for all site layouts to be formatted using DIVs. So this is what we use.

Will your mark-ups pass W3C validation?

We create every mark-up from the ground up to be fully compliant with W3C web coding standards.

Can you incorporate a web framework into a conversion?

Yes, we are happy to integrate a web framework such as Twitter Bootstrap in to your conversion. You will need to let us know which framework you need us to use before we begin your project.

Is it easy integrated with any CMS?

The code that we develop is hand-written to be fully web standards compliant. All code is developed using current best practices, and is logically structured, making it very simple to integrate with any CMS.

Can you include MicroFormats in a conversion?

Yes we can, we can add MicroFormats such as Reltah, hCards, Geo tags, vote links etc.

How can I make sure I receive a responsive layout?

If you need a fully responsive conversion, then you will need to send us your design in a suitable format. This means it needs to be 1024px by 768px in size, at 320px resolution. If you cannot manage this, we may be able to help you by asking you to describe to us how the layout should adapt responsively.


Do you keep details of your clients and their projects private?

We take privacy and security very seriously. We are happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement before commencing your project. We will not divulge any information about your or your project to anyone, unless required to do so by law.

Can we be sure that you won’t show our designs to a third-party?

We value our customers, and the projects they trust us to complete. We would never risk damaging our customer relationship by sharing your designs with a third-party without your express permission.

How do I get you to sign an NDA?

This is simple, just email it to us and we will sign it and send it straight back.

Will you use my project as a portfolio item on your website?

We will only use your project as an item in our showcase section with your permission. We always keep all client and project details private.

Who holds the copyright for the completed conversion project?

Once we have delivered the project to you, and you have paid for it in full, we transfer all copyrights to you.

I am developing a site on behalf of a client and I don’t want them to know I outsourced the conversion, will you keep it private?

We will never contact your client. Our contract is with you. Furthermore, we are happy to sign an NDA if you are worried.


How do a pay for a project?

We accept all major credit/debit card and we can also accept payment via PayPal.

When do I need to pay for a project?

You just need to give us a 10% down payment to begin your project. You don’t pay anything else until your projects is completed and you are happy with the results. However, for projects over $1,000 in value, we do ask for a 50% upfront payment.

Do you offer any discounts?

We are open to discussing a discount for large projects. If you think your project might be eligible for a discount, then please contact us with details of your requirements, and a preview of your designs.

What currency do you trade in?

All commercial transactions are in U.S. Dollars.
